The Tinsel on the Tree

Long ago a good widow with many children to care for cut a Christmas tree in the nearby forest. Trying to survive on little income from baking for the townspeople, she had no money for decorations. She and her children made snowflakes from scraps of paper they had saved and trimmed it as beautifully as they could with the little they had. During the night as they slept, spiders visited the tree, craling from branch to branch. As they left their shimmering webs behind, an angel came and transforemd all the spider webs into shining silver.
